The
OCSAA
is committed to helping Christian and
Religious Based schools throughout Ohio to
experience a quality, state championship
tournament without exhausting limited
athletic budgets!
There are numerous Christian and Religious
Based school conferences and or leagues that
provide season ending tournaments for
their members only. The
OCSAA
will function like the Ohio High School
Athletic Association (OHSAA) and open it's
tournaments for all Christian and Religious
Based schools regardless of conference
affiliation. With all eligible, schools
allowed to participate, the
OCSAA
will host very competitive tournaments and
crown a TRUE Christian/Religious Based
School State Champion! Schools may
remain in their current conference, play in
it's tournament and still compete in the
OCSAA
state-wide Tournament at the end of the
season!
OCSAA
will attempt to schedule all tournament
dates and times so as not to conflict with
current conferences such as: the ACSI,
OCAC, CSO and BCSA.
Ohio will be following other notable states
that have a separate state-wide, athletic
association for Christian and Religious
Based schools such as Texas, California and
Florida, all of whom crown separate state
champions for both public and private
schools.
Each participating school will pay an
annual fee of $100.00 and meet our
eligibility
requirements to be a member of the
OCSAA.
We are a private organization, not governed
by any state or federal affiliated body.
All members schools agree to abide by all
regulations contained in the
OCSAA Hand
Book
which includes Prayer
and National Anthem before OCSAA hosted
Tournament games.
We are a Christian organization and
therefore limit membership to schools that
truly qualify as "Christian" and "Religious
Based" regards to curriculum and standards.
